Abstract
The article focuses on the life and works of architect Philip Trammell Shutze. Shutze was born in Columbus, Georgia in 1890, graduated at the Georgia School of Technology in 1912 and became a partner at Hentz, Adler and Shutze in 1926. It notes that Shutze's works are influenced by modernism and he has inclinations towards the Italian Baroque. Photographs of some of Shutze's works, including the Goodrum House and the Ben Smith House on Paces Ferry Road in Atlanta, Georgia, are provided.
