Abstract
The article presents information on the etiology of Hepatitis C. Hepatitis C is a blood-borne, infectious disease caused by a hepatotropic virus called Hepatitis C Virus. The disease can cause liver inflammation that is often asymptomatic. It has been found that the intravenous drug use is the leading cause for acquiring Hepatitis C Virus infection in the developed countries. People with Hepatitis C often experience mild symptoms, and consequently do not seek treatment.
