Abstract
The article focuses on the risk of breast cancer associated with the expression of cytochrome P450 1B1 (CYP1B1) and catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT). based on a study conducted in Shanghai, China. Researchers compared the CYP1B1 and COMT messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) expression in tumor tissue and adjacent nontumor tissue in breast cancer patients and benign breast disease (BBD) patients. The study suggests that the expressions of CYP1B1 and COMT contribute to the risk of breast cancer.
