Abstract
The article discusses the development of an Excel worksheet helps in monitoring marketing data of departments as reported by the branch offices. The authors talk about the need the monitor the three departments in the four branch offices and compare the average to an optimal limit as determined by the operations research group. They mention that the Excel worksheet help the departments determine when average department sales calls are under or over the required levels. They also tackle the use of Excel functions and VBA code to demonstrate the three alternative solutions to the sales call problem.
