Abstract
Two replies to Mark Warren's commentary to the article "Marx and Darwin--A Reconsideration," by Terence Ball that was published in the November 1979 issue, are presented. The first reply comes from the article's author, who attempts to clarify the objections raised by Warren regarding the connection between the works of Karl Marx and Charles Darwin. In addition, the second reply supports the first by presenting how Marx and Darwin came to share a concept of the scientific hypothesis that is contrary to a strict view of science as consisting only of falsible propositions.
