Abstract
The article presents the author's views on the complex health needs of justice-involved individuals with opioid use disorder. Topics discussed include the implications for individual and public health; the opioids and overdose death risk; and the role of the community correctional programs in delivering and/or coordinating prevention and treatment services to justice-involved individuals during periods of amplified risk and reentry.
