Abstract
The article discusses the proposed changes to immigration law in the U.S. and its potential impact on agriculture and the market for hired farm labor. Two possible changes in the supply of foreign-born farm workers were considered in the study. Several immigration and farm workers-related bills were also introduced in the 112th Congress. U.S. economic projections under a base forecast and alternative labor supply scenarios are explained.
