Abstract
The article presents information on the complications associated with splicing of pre-messenger RNA. Any kind of flaw in the RNA splicing process can lead to genetic disorders in humans and these mutations later cause different kinds of cancers. It also discusses a "splicing code", which distinguishes the exons spliced alternatively from the exons spliced constitutively.
