Abstract
The article discusses the use of artificial mineral fibers such as glass wool as substitutes for asbestos for the thermal insulation of buildings, houses, boilers, tanks and pipes in Japan. It cites the impact of the utilization of glass fibers which can cause skin irritation and dermatitis to the workers. It also cites the integration of patch test of glass wool for non-residential use and residential use with or without the binder.
