Abstract
The author discusses the consequences of failure to recruit medical students into pathology in Canada. He says that public officials revealed deficiencies in the laboratory analysis of breast cancer specimens that affects the patients in Newfoundland in 2005. He states that the faculties of Medicine are encouraged to expand their curriculum to ensure that all medical students are educated. He adds that Canadian pathologists should develop strategies to improve recruitment.
