Abstract
The article discusses a study which informs on continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) trial to test whether the independent association of net ultrafiltration (NUF) rate with mortality is mediated by the effect of NUF on daily fluid balance and whether this effect is further moderated by baseline fluid overload. It mentions that patients undergoing CRRT, high NUF rates were associated with increased mortality compared with moderate NUF rate.
