Abstract
The article discusses the withdrawal from treaties under domestic law in the U.S. It notes the arguments of some commentators and executive branch attorneys for the broad powers possessed by the president to withdraw unilaterally from treaties based on Supreme Court case law, pursuant to executive power conveyed in Article II Section 1 of the Constitution. Also noted is the domestic law permitting the President to terminate or withdraw from treaties without legislative branch's approval.
