Abstract
The article provides information regarding the origin of the Moon. It was said that the Moon and the Earth were formed in the same general region of the solar system. The discovery that the Moon and the Earth contain quite different proportions of high-temperature and low-temperature elements makes it appear that such fractionation did occur when the planets formed. In addition, the Moon could accrete from such a disk of particles in as little as 1,000 years.
