Abstract
The author reflects on the global campaigns to eradicate malaria transmission for front-line clinicians. He mentions the positive control of malaria cases in African countries known to occur with high endemicity which include Gambia, Zanzibar, and Kenya. Also reports on the effort of the World Health Organization's Director General and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which join in partnership in October 2007 to eliminate the disease.
