Abstract
The article focuses on the current state of primary care capacity in Western Australia (WA), highlighting that the country is in dire straits with regards to primary care functionality. Topics include the rate of all-cause age-standardized potentially preventable hospitalizations as an indicator of primary care capacity in the Australian health system; and the primary care system is well matched to the health needs of the population in Statistical Area Level 3 (SA3) Cottesloe-Claremont.
