Abstract
The article focuses on the theme of "homemaking" as explored through workshops, exhibitions and a symposium at Concordia University in Montréal, Canada, from 8 to 12 May, 2023. Topics include the historical decline of homemaking in English nomenclature since the Second World War; the intersection of homemaking with craft in a contemporary context; and discussions on societal perceptions and expectations related to homemaking and craft as legitimate fields of study within the humanities.
