Abstract
The article focuses on dental silicate cements and investigates how a powder or liquid form will affect the cement's physical properties of color, translucency, setting time, hardness, consistency, and water solubility. The preparation of the powders, which are based on aluminum, calcium, and silicon oxides, and the liquid modifiers is explained. Data includes the effect of aluminum and zinc content on the cement's properties and test results for silicate powders and commercial products.
