Abstract
The article introduces the "Crisis, Conflict, and Climate" research program, spanning 300–700 CE, aiming to investigate the societal effects of climate change, conflict, and crisis in Scandinavia, focusing on Öland island. Topics include the study of ringforts, their utilization phases, and societal roles, utilizing high-resolution data to explore demographics, disease, climate impact, politics, and social change during this specific historical period.
