Abstract
The article discusses jazz-fusion musician Nathan Haines and his album "Shift Left." It states that in December of 2017 he had throat surgery to remove a tumor which resulted in his voice being damaged. It mentions he underwent a year of radiotherapy and a number of follow-up operations but is hopeful that a future operation can remove scarring that inhibits his voice's full functioning. It comments on August 24, 2019 he and the original Shift Left band would perform at the Civic in New Zealand.
