Abstract
The article presents a study which investigated the expression and function of progressive ankylosis (ANK) in an HIF-1-dependent manner in growth plate chondrocytes. It is stated that low levels of ANK expression were found in growth plate and articular cartilage while high levels were observed in the synovium and meniscus. Findings of protein expression analyses and chromatin immunoprecipitation assays are revealed.
