Abstract
The article offers information on the increasing use of digital smart door locks for household front doors and its future. Topics discussed include the Internet of Things (IoT) technology and its potential use in digital locks; the use of time sensitive personal identification numbers (PINs) to unlock doors; and the development of smart padlocks.
