Abstract
The article discusses research which assessed the clinical differences between HIV-associated pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and idiopathic PAH (iPAH) using the U.S.-based Pulmonary Hypertension Association Registry. The study compares patient demographics, six-minute-walk distance (6MWD), health-related quality of life (HRQL), hemodynamics on right heart catheterization, PAH therapeutics, emergency room visits and hospitalizations, healthcare utilization and use of PAH-specific drug.
