Abstract
The article focuses on scientific research regarding the existence of biological clocks within living beings. The author explains the movement of the alga, hantzschia virgata, from the pores of sand to the surface, in rhythm with daytime low tide to discuss the phenomenon. Examples of the locomotion behavior in fiddler crabs and the color change behavior in green crabs are also provided. The author believes that an endogenous biological clock governs most of these behaviors.
