Abstract
The article discusses research which was conducted to investigate baseline renal function among antiretroviral therapy-naive HIV-positive patients in southeast Nigeria. Researchers evaluated 300 patients and found renal disease in 24% of those patients, which they considered to be a high prevalence of disease.
