Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluates the mutagenic activities of insecticides including endosulfan, malathion, and phosalone before and after the metabolic activation in Ames Salmonella test. It says that the insecticides mutagenicity was assessed at 90% toxic doses which were incubated for three hours at 37°C. Results show that the insecticides' metabolism involves hydrolysis of ester bond by liver microsomal esterases.
