Abstract
The article presents a research on detection of Pneumonia Pathogens from plasma cell-free Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). Topics include detection of circulating microbial DNA in plasma via metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS); plasma mNGS identifies the invasive fungal pathogen Histoplasma capsulatum in a patient with disseminated disease; and results suggesting about release of pathogenic DNA into the bloodstream of pneumonia patients and negative blood cultures.
