Abstract
The article focuses on the growth in breeding and production of Salers cattle from Auvergne, France in North America. It states the continuous improvement in breed of Salers cattle was due to careful record-keeping and selective breeding promoted since 1852 in France. It also cites top ten reasons why the breed became fruitful including more marketable pound offered that Angus calves, inherit ability of Salers cattle to marble, and its astonishing reproductive ability.
