Abstract
The article reports on several developments as well as significant events arranged chronologically related to telecommunication activity in the arts. The author defines telecommunication as the process involving the electronic transmission of information using radio technology, computers networks, satellites, telephone, among others. In 1977, the Center for New Art Activities was organized by Liza Bear and Willoughby Sharp; likewise, the interactive composite image satellite dance performance featuring Kit Galloway and Sherrie Rabinowitz was held at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Goddard Space Flight Center.
