Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the influence of occupational status and sex of decision maker on media representations in intercollegiate sports in the U.S. It employed a decision making corollary to R. M. Kanter's homologous reproduction theory to examine the intersections of occupational position and sex of the decision maker, and media representation within intercollegiate men's and women's sports.
