Abstract
The article presents abstracts of studies presented at the fifth annual Conference of the North American Society of Pediatric Exercise Medicine. K. Chen and colleagues researched the differences in body composition, cholesterol concentration, and physical working capacity in trained children and normally active children. E. E. Blaak and colleagues looked at the effect training had on the total energy expenditure of obese boys. Other studies examined the anaerobic threshold, the effects of endurance training on the blood lactate concentrations of children, and the cardiorespiratory fitness of children after recovery from Kawasaki disease.
