Abstract
The article reports on the Sainte-Chapelle lectionaries and the illustration of the parables in the middle ages. The four gospel lectionaries associated with the Sainte-Chapelle written during the thirteenth-century are presented. A survey of medieval parable illustrations that demonstrates the nature of the cycle in the Sainte-Chapelle Lectionaries is also offered.
