The article presents the reply of Mehdi Mezdi and colleagues addressing recent manuscript. Topics include raising several key pulmonary and hemodynamic questions on the ventilation of patients with obesity; and documenting the hemodynamic effects of a lung-recruitment maneuver in hemodynamically unstable patients.
