Abstract
The article focuses on an excavation that was carried out at Horbat Hammim, located in the Shephelah region, southwest of the town of Modi'in in Israel in 2007. Topics covered include the Early Bronze Age IA settlement remains retrieved at the archaeological site, the problem encountered in the dating of finds derived from secondary contexts, and the indication of the presence of a few Nilotic shell fragments of Chambardia rubens at the site.
