Abstract
The article offers a study on the efficacy of Artemether–lumefantrine (AL) and dihydroartemisinin–piperaquine (DHP). It mentions Artemether–lumefantrine (AL) was introduced in 2005 as a first-line Artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACT) for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria in Rwanda; and also mentions DHP demonstrated a greater post-treatment prophylactic effect against new infections compared with AL.
