Abstract
The article presents an interview with film scorer Sir John Dankworth. He relates that director Karel Reisz contacted him to compose the score for his documentary "We Are the Lambeth Boys" in 1959 and describes it as his best collaboration. He re-recorded the score for the film "The Servant" with the Michael Cryon Saxophone Quartet. He has not made any film scores since "Gangster No. 1" in 2001.
