Abstract
An interview with Joseph S. Galati of the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas about protease inhibitor-based therapy for hepatitis C virus infection is presented. He discusses the impact of the advent of boceprevir and telaprevir on the efficacy of hepatitis C virus therapy. He also talks about the benefits of protease inhibitor-based therapy. His comments on the data from SPRINT-2 and RESPOND-2 studies are given.
