Presents a study which explored critical care nurses' beliefs about the importance of anxiety management and described their reported use of strategies to manage anxiety in their patients. Association between anxiety and increased morbidity and mortality; Physiological responses to anxiety; Link of anxiety and subsequent stress response to delays in wound healing.
