Abstract
The article profiles British Royal Air Force (RAF) pilot John Roy Merifield who was able to take a photograph of a glide bomb when his photoreconnaissance Mosquito flew over Peenemünde, Germany on November 28, 1943. It provides a background of Merifield's career who joined the Oxford University Air Squadron and the RAF in 1940. Also detailed are Merifield's career in the Far East as well as the awards he received for his outstanding contributions to Great Britain.
