The article presents a conflict on the conservation-related displacement of people in Central Africa. Bryan Curran and colleagues contradicted the perspective of Kai Schmidt-Soltau and colleagues that conservation organisations persist to commit human rights violations in Central Africa. Curran contradicted Schmidt-Soltau's suggestion that it matters how many people are affected as long as negative impact can be demonstrated, pointing out that Schmidt-Soltau has no evidence that will support the assertions. Curran and colleagues also added that their paper was not written by a group of hardcore conservationists, as Schmidt-Soltau argued. Curran's paper declared that Schmidt-Soltau does not have data to attest his account, nor does he expand the methods he used to validate his allegation.
