Abstract
The article presents a reader's views and experiences regarding guns in the United States. The reader recalls that her toddler son had quickly outgrown toy cars and trains and had shifted his interest to toy guns and wearing camouflage clothing. She kept buying him toy cars and trucks but her son remained fascinated with guns. Now that her son is 10 years old, he does not fight at school and would never think of hunting animals.
