Abstract
The article discusses a study on the interplay between the valency of the Fc portion of immunoglobulin G (IgG) Fcγ receptor activation for the design of immune complex inhibitors. The study used sensitive Fcγ receptor binding and signaling cellular assay to evaluate the structure activity relationships of an engineered panel of multivalent Fc constructs. It demonstrated the effectiveness of the recombinant molecule for the treatment of FcgR-mediated autoimmune diseases.
