Explains why Acer Computer International Ltd. chose Lappeenranta, Finland for its first computer assembly plant to serve the Russian market. Growth of the company's sales force in Russia; Difficulty of finding a good building in Russia with adequate security, power supply and other services; Logistic advantage and political stability as major reasons behind the company's selection of Lappeenranta.
