Abstract
An editorial is presented the increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in older age groups and the importance of research interventions to guide elderly lifestyles, aiming to prevent negative outcomes, reduce polypharmacy, functional decline, and institutionalization, ultimately decreasing the impact on the health economy.
