Abstract
The authors highlight the importance of nutrition in hospitalized COVID-19 patients. It enumerates the recommendations of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) for initiating and monitoring nutrition therapy to patients. The use of steroids in patients who developed hyperglycemia is mentioned. Also noted is the potential of nutrition support to improve patient outcomes and reduce exposure to health care personnel.
