Abstract
The article comments on Veterans Affairs (VA) mission 2018. Topics include its importance for rural graduate medical education (GME) expansion and Veteran Health Care, gap between supply and demand of physicians and their shortage in rural areas; and difficulty for GME expansion because of less partnership options, infrastructure funding difficulties, and a lack of incentives.
