Abstract
The article presents information on the Canadian Dermatological Association. It states that after 20 years of evolution, first as the inter-urban Dermatological Society, then as the Canadian Branch of the British Association of Dermatology and Syphilology and including an important role as the Section of Dermatology of the Canadian Medical Association, the association reached maturity in 1946 and assumed its proper and distinctive title of the Canadian Dermatological Association (CDA). In 1948 the CDA achieved complete independence with the approval of a resolution that meetings of the CDA may not be held at the same time as the Canadian Medical Association.
