Abstract
The article presents the result of a cross-sectional random satisfaction survey of schizophrenics in Nigeria from July-September 2011. The survey covers various issues including the use of the Charleston Psychiatric Outpatient Satisfaction Scale, the score obtained for assessing helpfulness of the services received, staff-patient interactions and perceptions of the value and quality of care provided. The impact of the shortage of physicians on patient care is discussed.
