Abstract
The article focuses on the acts of violence in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Topics include the number of people who were kidnapped in the ethno-sectarian fault line, the declaration of accession to Pakistan on November 4, 1947, and the absence of democratic rights. Also mentioned are the alleged violation of human rights in Jammu & Kashmir, India, construction of a dam at Bhasha, and cultural identity of the region.
