Abstract
The author discusses the possible benefits of longitudinal monitoring of individuals in advancing cancer research. He mentions that longitudinal monitoring can provide information on how cancer evolves within an individual. He explores the research conducted by Chen and colleagues wherein 20 blood samples from a single healthy individual were longitudinally analyzed, in which the result shows that longitudinal monitoring of individuals can generate novel cancer insights and hypothesis.
