Investigates the effectiveness of ampicillin therapy for children with Hemophilus influenzae meningitis. Late development of atrophy of tissues at the sites of repeated intramuscular injections; Changes in the inflammatory response and the passage of antibiotics into the cerebrospinal fluid; Morbidity and mortality in utilizing a penicillin-chloramphenicol combination.
